Lanco H(K)ills

this is what feels like staying near lanco hills. they were once beautiful hills with nice rock formation and good vegetation, which used to be green and peaceful.

the senseless and sick people who are building these have morphed the natural hills into tall buildings. they are actually drilling the hills breaking the huge rocks 24/7 with people working in shifts round the clock and using the same, crush it and use it as raw material to build stories and sky scrapers.

they have spoilt the balance in the eco system. many small creatures have lost their home. so many rodents, rarely seen birds and trees. chameleons and parrots and other different kinds of birds on the roadside which is an unusual site (in hyd) searching for their homes.

from almost the time they have started, every sec you have a drilling noise so loud and prominant that even if you close all your doors and stuff cotton in your ears and sit inside your cupboard and lock yourself also, you will still continue to hear the drilling sound as if it was happening inside your head.

with the trucks and lorries going round and round, the amount of dust they rise looks like this is a hill station covered with fog round the clock . and due to loss of vegetation also, its so hot.

i have even heard from people that they used to blast the hills initially to create their desired shapes and small and big rocks used to fall on the houses nearby. its like scraping the skin of mother earth.

i don't know what will they do by building these. it just shows pure form of destruction instead of construction. they miss this small logic. to do something, they are destroying something first. i wonder why they are called construction companies ! they should call themselves destruction companies. i feel if you have to create or build something we should go so extreme and exploit everything to such an extent instead make sure that we compensate and make a balance where we have disturbed it.

if they say by doing this we would create so many occupations and small and big jobs and it helps people, they are being so selfish because, to give a luxurious home to someone, they have destroyed a sweet small home of a bird.

i feel these creatures and trees are like kids, they don't know how to protect themselves or say anything about it.. coz they don't have the ability of human brains. human brain has that pottential to think. but never cares about anything else except its own interests and very often spoils the harmony. disgusting human nature. live live. live alone on this planet.. you bloody human.. push it as far as it goes and till only humans are left on the planet and nothing else. i am so ashamed of being a part of such a deadly dangerous breed.

when people with a lot of power and influence over the government are involved in things like these, they feel that they don't need to bother about anything else because they won't be asked by anyone and they don't need to answer to anyone and just take everything for granted. they are even ignoring the nature. but i feel because of these kind of reasons, end of the world as we know will be very soon. because nature treats everyone equally and creates justice. we don't realize what it can do untill the last moment.

Ride In Peace

escape from the concrete jungle of hyderabad experience chills in the midst of burning summer, on NH 7.

have eetha kallu and ride on the back of a snake in the ghats of raichoti and tirumala.

forget yourself in the nature's cool breeze looking at stars hanging to the branches of a tamarind tree.

loose your way and go to an unknown village and be interrogated by the people.

have rice with groundnut chutney and chilli tomato pickle.

sleep while looking at the stars and listening to stories of stars and people who become stars.

morning walk in the mango farms and through the village and brush teeth with neem.

meet some people and take scoldings and blessings and give a damn to it and start back to hyderabad.

on the way back get an idea to divert and go to chennai.

on the way to chennai see a board pointing to a waterfall at tada.

go 14 km inside and 1km on foot to find a remote place called ubbalamadugu.

have the best time with yourself after riding for long in the hot sun - lying down in a stream of water and seeing the sun setting behind the hills.

stream so pure that you can drink it for sure.

with a gentle current of the water experience the nature seesawing you floating on the water in between two rocks like a dead body letting yourself free and loose.

water so clear you can swallow gallons with no fear and you can see fishes going all around you and biting you (its more like ticklish than like a piranha!) they are so friendly and they look like dotted gouramies.

then go to chennai by 21.00 to meet karunakaran at ambattur after three years and then call karthik at 23.30 and shock him and bug him by staying at his place at t nagar for the night. meet satish at the other end of chennai at perungudi at 13.00 and get an idea to meet uma in gudiyattam, vellore.

just standing at the end of chennai towards west, about to enter perambadur. damn too hot and humid. thinking of the distance bike would have to cover, return back to the by pass of chennai on the other end towards east and start towards hyderabad.

reach ongole at 22.00, take a room for the night, have a beer and nice andhra meals, take a bath and sleep.

start at 5 the next morning and start to hyderabad through addanki.

take small breaks and have coconut water and go on till 11.30 on tuesday to reach hydearbad.

sneak into the room and get ready and go to office at 1.30. get out at 5.30 - half a day and meet college friends after six years and booze and have grilled chicken and sleep peacefully.

approximately 1700 km of fun and joy on my pulsar.

the experience of going this distance and seeing all these places across two states in four nights and three days has been priceless. when i went out and caught the highways on the road in the middle of no where, i was looking at myself from google earth's point of view. slowly moving like a small dot or a star in space, which we don't even notice moving but covers a distance. meeting so many different kinds of people along your way tasting as many different types of food, going through different climatic conditions, seeing in it the best and the worst and meeting the people i know, my friends and relatives and so many strangers, exploring places has given me a chance to see what's there outside the concrete jungle and has taught me something - i felt that i have done and seen so many things in a short span of time and was thinking i could have done more. then i realize the pottential of a human. what all can anybody do. on the other side i just keep wondering how time just slips by hours and hours together where we just kill time or laze ourselves so much. for people who haven't gone around much i would like to beg them to go see the world and explore with your own eyes. enough of popping your eyes at the monitor seeing forwarded e mails. get out ! do something. human body is the most powerful.
